Adrian Hunt is a Partner in the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group. He is an experienced litigator who has appeared before all levels of Courts and Tribunals in The Bahamas. With an attention to detail, adeptness at problem-solving, and knowledge of the rules of practice, he has built a reputation for resolving client issues in a satisfactory, timely, and cost-effective manner.  Adrian is particularly skilled in case analysis, trial preparation, and advocacy. He has demonstrated an exceptionally high level of competence in a number of practice areas in civil and commercial litigation. Most notably, Admiralty, Employment, Personal Injury, Insolvency, and Intellectual Property.

His practice represents a diverse client base, particularly as it relates to his Insolvency Law practice where he regularly acts for both international insolvency office holders, and creditors regarding tracing and identifying assets; and in his Intellectual Property practice, where he has advised and acted for a varied institutional client base, regarding infringement actions.

Adrian joined Graham Thompson in February 2019.

His recent matters include: 

  • Acted for the liquidators of a foreign entity in a disputed claim to ownership of funds held in the account of an investment bank, placed in voluntary liquidation.
  • Advising foreign insolvency office holders and creditors alike, creditors in respect to tracing and identifying assets.
  • Advising a utility service provider in an assessment of damages stemming from a dispute concerning a longstanding trespass.
  • A fuel distributor in successfully resisting claims in a representative action claiming nuisance arising from an underground fuel leak.
  • Acted for the employer appointed trustees of a pension fund in a contentious dispute with the employee appointed trustees concerning the duties of the board of trustees.
  • An international performing rights organization in successfully enforcing the exclusive public performance rights in its musical works retained when the musical work was embodied in a motion picture shown in public.
