Christopher J. Wells is a Partner and member of the Property & Development and Banking & Finance practice groups. He joined the Firm in 2005. Christopher has experience in a broad range of matters including the preparation of financing and loan documents, real property acquisitions and sales, property title and opinion work.
In 2016, Christopher moved to the Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands offices of the Firm, where he has quickly established himself as a "go to" attorney for real estate acquisition matters, providing sound advice to international purchasers of luxury vacation homes and time share units throughout the Turks & Caicos Islands.
He has experience in a wide range of real property matters, including resort and hotel developments, 2nd home purchases, and tourism operation matters. Christopher is experienced in domestic mortgages, conveyancing and commercial matters on behalf of local and international clients. Christopher also undertakes a broad range of regulatory work for his clients.
Recent transactions include:
Representing the developer of a planned residential gated community (258 lots and 80 townhouses) in all matters of master planning and sales;
Providing advice to global financial institutions on commercial loan transactions, including numerous multi-jurisdictional transactions involving groups of international banks.
