Graham Thompson Awarded 2018 HNW Leading Law Firm

 

London-based Chambers and Partners has once again recognised the Bahamian Law firm, Graham Thompson for its continued global excellence and leadership in the private wealth practice. The law firm received the organisation’s highest – Band 1 – ranking in Chambers’ High Net Worth (HNW) recognition of leaders in the Trusts sector. The HNW award is a new honour for the prestigious ranking agency, which established the award just a year ago in 2017. Graham Thompson is lauded as “an excellent firm” with a “strong team” and “strong offering on trusts work”. Chambers highlighted Graham Thompson’s “longevity in The Bahamas” and its “reputation as a leading firm”.

With its rankings of the world’s leaders in legal services, Chambers and Partners sets a global standard for the industry worldwide.

In this second year for the industry distinction, individual recognitions were also again awarded to Graham Thompson senior partner Sean McWeeney QC, who leads the firm's private client, trusts and estates group; Trusts expert Tanya Hanna and former Minister of Financial Services and Trade, Ryan Pinder, who are both partners in the firm’s corporate, financial services and private wealth practice group. Former Attorney General Sean McWeeney QC, received the highest individual honour, a Band 1 ranking.

Graham Thompson is also a Chambers Global Band 1 ranked law firm in general business law. A distinction the firm has maintained for several years. Partners receiving 2018 individual Band 1 rankings for this global distinction included Sean McWeeney QC, Robert Adams, Dana Wells, Craig Roberts and Stephen Wilson QC, who is based in Graham Thompson’s Providenciales office in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Associate attorney Tony Gruchot, also based in Providenciales was recognized as a 2018 Associate to Watch.
