GT Staff’s IWD Seminar #AccelerateAction #IWD2025

Nassau, The Bahamas. GrahamThompson’s women staff across the law firm’s offices in New Providence, Grand Bahama and Abaco, participated in an in-house International Women’s Day (IWD) half-day seminar.

GT Human Resources Manager Jean Gomez hailed the event as a “special celebration”. “Women of the firm embraced IWD’s 2025 theme “Accelerate Action” with enthusiastic participation in meaningful and relevant discussions on legal and financial matters affecting them.”

Staff members heard from two dynamic speakers. GT Partner Samantha Williams presented on “The Importance of Making a Will”. Cleora Farquharson, Vice President of Business Development and Client Relations for Leno Corporate Services Limited presented “The Smart Woman’s Guide to Financial Planning: Saving & Investment Opportunities, Budgeting & Managing Debt”.

Both sessions were engaging interactive exchanges between participants and the speakers. Staff members also participated in a fun team building exercise. The seminar was presented in hybrid format, with staff members participating both in-person and virtually.

IWD is observed on March 8^th every year. This year’s campaign theme was Accelerate Action.
