Graham Partners at Bahamas Briefing and IBFS

Partners of Graham Thompson presented at the recent Bahamas Briefing and International Business and Finance Summit (IBFS), this past March 1st and 2nd.

Sean McWeeney QC, a senior partner of the firm presented at the Bahamas Briefing, day one of the two-day event, in a “product deep dive” session on Bahamian Trusts and Private Trust Companies. The Bahamas Briefing brought financial services industry intermediaries from all around the world to The Bahamas, to gain first-hand knowledge about what the jurisdiction offers, from onshore industry professionals.

Graham Thompson partner Aliya Allen also presented at the Briefing. She addressed the subject of relocation, including immigration, residency and lifestyle issues. She also presented at the following day’s IBFS, in a discussion on “Fintech Opportunities for The Bahamas”. Aliya released a Whitepaper at the event, “The Bahamas’ Place in a Cryptographic World”.

Also presenting on day 2 at the IBFS, Graham Thompson partner Ryan Pinder discussed the implications of “Base Erosion Profit Sharing” for The Bahamas.

The Bahamas Briefing and International Business and Finance Summit were hosted by the Bahamas Financial Services Board (BFSB).
