Adams is GB outstanding business person of the year nominee
November 9, 2016Graham Thompson senior partner Robert Adams was recognised for his outstanding contributions to the Grand Bahamian business community, when he was selected as a nominee for the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce’s “Outstanding Business Person of the Year” Award. Nominees were presented at the Chamber’s “7th Annual Business Excellence Awards”.
An expert litigator who chairs the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution practice group, Mr. Adams is an internationally ranked “Band 1” attorney by London based Chambers Global, an international leader in legal ranking services, and their highest honour. Adams practice areas include employment and labour, insurance, litigation and dispute resolution, shipping, admiralty and aviation. The “Outstanding Business Person of the Year” Award is the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce’s highest individual honour for business.
Nominees were recognised and presented at a special luncheon for the “7th Annual Business Excellence Awards”, at the Our Lucaya Grand Resort. A large audience filled the venue, including business and community leaders from throughout Grand Bahama.

The nomination underscores Mr Adams’ commitment to hard work and excellence in his profession and his dedication to ensuring that same level of commitment and drive within the wider community. The firm has been a member of the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce since 2000. Graham Thompson attorney Edward J. Marshall, is the firm’s current representative in the Chamber. He is a Director, and chairs the Chamber’s Ethics and Legislation Committee.
The “7th Annual Business Excellence Awards” luncheon was held under the patronage of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Honourable K. Peter Turnquest.
