Graham Thompson’s Human Resources Manager Elected President of BHRDA

Graham Thompson is delighted to announce that Richenda King, Human Resources Manager for the Firm, has been elected President of the Bahamas Human Resources Development Association (BHRDA).

The BHRDA is the Bahamas’ leading Human Resources organization.  The 25 year old non- profit organization for human resource professionals and other business executives provides a forum for HR professionals to discuss current HR related and business issues and to enhance their own HR skills.

Richenda responded to the new appointment with great enthusiasm, “I am excited to be serving at such a challenging time for all human resource leaders and with such a vibrant executive team of Bahamian professionals.  We look forward to opportunities for mentorship, empowerment and growth.”

Other members of the BHRDA executive team are Zakia Winder, V.P. Program & Education, Nicole Leary, V.P. Membership, Esaura Rolle, V.P. Public Relations, Candise Rahming, Treasurer, and Anasika Delson, Secretary.

Richenda has been with Graham Thompson since September 2013, and employed as an HR professional for over 20 years.  She has had extensive training and experience in all aspects of HR management in private and public sector organizations including strategic planning, training & development and labour relations.

Richenda has an MBA from the University of Miami and is a fellow of the Life Management Institute, with specialties in Human Resources and Information Technology.  She has completed Advanced Labour Law studies as well as Executive Management programs in decision making, change management and negotiation.  Richenda is a past Director of the AIDS Foundation of The Bahamas, and has been an active member of the Education and Fund Raising Committees.  Most notably, she is the founding chairperson for the Bahamas’ Red Ribbon Ball which was established in 1993 to provide funding and resources to the national HIV/AIDS program.
