Robert Adams is a Partner in the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group.

Robert has a broad range of experience with matters in the banking, trust, insurance, manufacturing, tourism and hospitality, and construction, building and real estate sectors; with noted expertise in contentious commercial, corporate and civil matters. His practice includes professional liability/indemnity, employment, trade union matters, admiralty, shipping and, aviation, family matters including adoptions, divorce, child related and matrimonial disputes security enforcement and asset recovery, personal injury, road traffic and possession matters.

In addition, Robert has performed judicial reviews as a result of his work on constitutional, administrative and regulatory cases and in respect of which he has appeared before the Privy Council.

Recent engagements include:

  • Advising commercial airline operators on labour and industrial relations matters.
  • Advising developers and operators of major hotels and resorts in Freeport, Grand Bahama and representing them in commercial and labour disputes.
  • Advising time-share and vacation club operators in Freeport, Grand Bahama and representing them in contentious commercial and labour matters.
  • Representing leading Bahamian insurance companies and commercial banks in multi-million-dollar disputes.
  • Representing a syndicate of Lloyd’s Underwriters in an admiralty collision dispute.
  • Representing a leading Bahamian general contractor in multi-million dollar building and construction dispute.
