Judith Whitehead named King’s Counsel

The law firm of GrahamThompson congratulates Managing Partner Judith Whitehead, on her appointment as King’s Counsel (KC) January 9, 2023.

A partner at Graham Thompson since 1990, Judith Whitehead was one of the founding members of the firm’s litigation department where she handled a broad range of banking, property, entertainment and family law matters. She became Managing Partner in 1996. In this role she oversees the firm’s operations, providing leadership for the firm’s strategic direction. Her practice focuses on advising the firm’s domestic and international private clients and family offices.

Her career has exemplified excellence in legal services and committed public service; a reflection of the GrahamThompson ethos. She has served the legal sector as an acting Justice of the Supreme Court of The Bahamas and has served on a number of public boards, including Deputy Chairmanships of National Health Insurance Authority and The College of The Bahamas; and memberships on The Bahamas Financial Services Board and the National Women’s Advisory Council. She has also served as a Director of the US-based World Services Group, a network of more than 23,000 professionals across over 150 jurisdictions worldwide. She currently serves on the Board of the Lyford Cay Foundations, Inc and other private boards.
