New Partner Announcement

February 13, 2025

GrahamThompson is pleased to announce Kendira Turnquest as a Partner. She becomes a member of the partnership in the firm’s Property Practice.

Kendira joined GrahamThompson as an Associate in 2019, initially in the firm’s Financial and Corporate Services Practice, before the Property Practice in 2021. She specialises in real estate sales and acquisitions, real estate financing, residential and commercial leases, subdivision and condominium developments and resort restructuring.

She shared that “what has truly meant most to me is providing legal expertise for first-time home and property purchasers.  The delight that I witness when my clients close on their first home fills me with joy”. She added, “their home and property ownership not only creates their own generational wealth but also aids the economic and social development of The Bahamas”.

Kendira’s practice also includes commercial transactions, corporate structures and shipping finance including incorporation of local and foreign companies, continuations, re-domiciliations and liquidations, and regulatory compliance for corporate entities. Immigration matters for high-net-worth clients is also a specialised area of her practice.

“We are thrilled to add Kendira to GrahamThompson’s partnership. She is an exceptionally trained attorney, who continues to excel in her practice”, Managing Partner Judith Whitehead. “She represents our newer generation of very bright attorneys, who also happen to be great examples of GT’s historic ethos.”

A member of the Bahamas Bar since 2016, Kendira highlighted “the collegiality and intellectual rigour” among the attorneys and the staff at GrahamThompson as particularly impactful on her career. “I am immensely proud to become a partner at GrahamThompson.  Our law firm has a remarkable history of legal success, and I am humbled to be a part of this storied legacy.”
