Graham Thompson’s Freeport Office Adopts Primary School

Freeport, Grand Bahama – Friday June 8th, attorneys from Graham Thompson’s office in Freeport, Grand Bahama visited the Lewis Yard Primary School. The Freeport team has identified the school to receive support from the firm for the 2018-2019 year, with a view to continuing that support on a longer term basis.

Graham Thompson Partners Erica Paine, Dwayne Fernander and Willie Moss, along with Associate Zia Lewis participated in the visit which included a campus tour. They met with the school’s Principal, Mrs. Juanita Hanna, who shared with the group, some of the school’s goals, their achievements over the course of the now concluding academic year, and ways a corporate citizen like Graham Thompson could partner in their continued growth, by helping them to address a few challenges.

The firm’s first project with the school will be to address their IT infrastructure needs, required to facilitate WiFi access throughout the campus. Lewis Yard Primary has been actively growing its ‘tablets in the classroom’ programme, and the upgrade of its IT infrastructure is essential to the ongoing viability of the programme. The work is expected to begin in June.

Additionally, in September, Graham Thompson attorneys and staff will begin a reading initiative, where volunteer readers from the firm will visit the school on a fortnightly basis to read to students during the school year.
