GrahamThompson Partners Tanya Hanna and Aliya Allen will be featured presenters at the upcoming STEP Bahamas Conference. Presented under the theme “Succession through Innovation”, the conference is slated for March 9th and 10th, in Nassau, The Bahamas.

On Thursday March 9th, Tanya Hanna, will join other expert panelists on the topic “Women in Financial Services. Work-Life Balance”. The panel will begin at 4:15 p.m.

On Friday March 10th, Aliya Allen will be a featured panelist on the subject “To Know Better is to Do Better. An Overview of the Bahamian Regulatory Environment”. The panel will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Tanya Hanna

Tanya Hanna is a Partner in the firm’s Financial Services, Private Client, Trusts and Estates Practice Group. Her practice focuses primarily on trusts, wills, probate and estate planning. Foundations, private trust companies company law and international commercial law, and regulatory compliance. She provides advice to trust companies on the development of new services, and on issues arising in trust administration and regulatory issues for a wide range of domestic and international clients.

Tanya is recognized by IFLR 1000 as a Notable Practitioner and Leading Lawyer. She is also a Chambers and Partners Band 2 ranked attorney in the High Net Worth (HNW) Offshore Trusts Sector.

Aliya Allen

Aliya Allen is also a Partner in the firm’s Financial Services, Private Client, Trusts and Estates Practice Groups. Aliya’s practice focuses primarily on banking, investment funds, securities, securitisation and capital markets. Technology, FinTech, blockchain and digital assets and regulatory matters such as FATCA, CRS, AML/CFT. She has written extensively on the legislative and regulatory framework for financial services in The Bahamas.

Aliya is a recognized thought leader on the digital assets business sector in The Bahamas. She is also recognized by IFLR 1000 as Notable Practitioner and Leading Lawyer.
