ELLIS MAKES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY PRESENTATIONS

Nassau, The Bahamas – GrahamThompson Partner and Senator, Hon. Michela Ellis, was the guest speaker for a women’s luncheon for Managers of the Margaritaville Beach Resort and the British Colonial.

The event was a special observance of International Women’s Day (IWD) 2024.

Under the global theme Inspire Inclusion, Senator Ellis highlighted how some organisational systems and policies can have unintended consequence of limiting the full participation of women in important organisational processes.

She was also a panelist later in the day, at an IWD event held at the University of The Bahamas (UB). Under the event’s theme Accelerating Gender Equality Through Economic Empowerment, she underscored the underrepresentation of women in The Bahamas in front line politics.

This event was facilitated jointly by UB and the Zonta Club of New Providence.
